Jerry Fantastic; Patrons NOT
Iron and Wine's great warm up act was a funny guy, but we couldn't hear much of his set because most of the patrons were still entering the theater during his 25 minute performance. They came into the back of the theater talking loudly and seemed to never care about those of us who planned ahead and arrived on time for the 7 PM show. The Arlington ushers were also loud and mis-seated several people near us, leading to more moving and talking as the correct seating was arranged.
Iron and Wine was fantastic as usual, but people need to understand the importance of arriving at the theater on time!

"Iron and Wine put on a great show. I've heard in other big cities he puts on longer shows and wish for it to be the same in our smaller city. He's handsome and of course a hottie! I had an awesome time. I would definitely go see him again, just wish it would have been a longer lasting show. I love you Mr. 305 and hope he comes again soon to the 915! We love Iron and Wine. Overall it was awesome to attend his concert and thank him for coming to our city. Bastille was great
The show was fantastic, with the opening act being amazing. It was cool to see Iron and Wine in a smaller venue, and the sound was great. Unfortunately, the show was not sold out, and even the lead singer mentioned the weirdness of performing to empty seats. The crowd, mostly comprising college students, also included adult couples and families. The University may have purchased tickets but not sold them all, possibly leading to the empty seats. Dan's signature walk through the crowd during flaws was memorable, as he climbed over theater seats and ventured into the middle of the crowd. After the show, the opening act did a little signing next to the merch table. I regret not getting closer tickets, as there were many empty seats on the floor and grand tier. They played a few songs, including Skulls and No Scrubs, that I had not heard live on their first US tour at the beginning of the summer.

Christopher Cross did an excellent job, depending on who you ask. The concert started with cool video clips from his past, building a timeline. He looks great for a 64-year-old and his voice is the same, even better than when he was younger. However, the problem I had is stretching the songs way too long. Just sing the songs the way he had them on record. He omitted my fav, Heart to Heart. The concert began with Danny's Song, Return to Pooh, and an alternative version of This Is It, which I didn't care for. By the way, Iron and Wine??? Was he not aware that the average age in the room was at least 60? Extended rock guitar solos were probably not the best suggestion. Keep looking good, change the format.
Miranda rocked but parking didn't
I absolutely adored Iron and Wine! The venue, loved, loved, LOVED it! There's only one way in and one way out, making getting to and from the venue terrible. We sat in traffic FOREVER. The parking was a nightmare, BUT the venue itself was beautiful. I was in a wheelchair and received special assistance to and from my ADA seat, which I appreciated so much. Without the friendly and helpful folks working the event, my caregiver would have faced great difficulty getting me to my seat. Ms. Donna, the "angel," provided incredible assistance, even helping me get to the restroom and back to my car after the show. She wouldn't accept a tip when I tried to offer one! The restrooms were really far from our seats. I won't be back to this venue because of the parking and restroom locations, unless Iron and Wine performs here again!
